The Story of Mora Ovens – A Brand Built for True Pizza Bakers

Mora Ovens is a rising brand in the world of pizza oven manufacturing, driven by a deep understanding of the restaurant industry and a passion for delivering the best baking experience.

The company was founded by Tony Kavak, a seasoned expert in the restaurant business with years of experience selling pizza ovens from various brands. However, as a retailer and pizza baker himself (since the age of 18), Tony realized that many ovens on the market failed to meet the real needs of professional pizza makers. This insight sparked the idea of creating a unique, high-performance pizza oven designed with bakers in mind.

From Idea to Reality – The Birth of Mora Ovens

In 2018, the journey began with an attempt to acquire an existing pizza oven manufacturer, but no deal was reached. In 2019, Tony traveled to the Milan Restaurant Expo to evaluate potential import options, only to find the same limitations among manufacturers.

Determined to bring something better to the market, Tony initiated Mora Ovens—a brand committed to innovation, efficiency, and quality.

By January 2020, after months of design, engineering, and prototyping, the first Mora Ovens model was completed. Following rigorous testing and fine-tuning, the first unit was sold in Stockholm—chosen by a customer who switched to Mora Ovens after just one year with another brand.

A Rapid Rise to Success

Since March 2020, Mora Ovens has expanded rapidly, selling ovens across Sweden and exporting to four European countries.

The initial launch included three models:

  • P40 – 4 pizzas per floor

  • P60 – 6 pizzas per floor

  • P70 – 6 large pizzas per floor

By November 2020, development of the P80 model began, featuring an expanded capacity of 8 pizzas per floor. In February 2021, new and improved versions of the P20 and P80 models were introduced to the Swedish market.

Made in Sweden – Innovation & Quality

In 2023, Mora Ovens brought all production back home to Sweden, ensuring full control over quality and manufacturing—from sheet metal to the final product—all crafted in Skövde.
